WHAT: 

OHSU will host a drug disposal event in observance of the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. Community members are invited to safely and responsibly dispose of unused or expired medications free of charge. Drive-through and walk-up options will be available. OHSU experts will be on hand to answer questions. All donations are anonymous.

DETAILS:

The Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the public about the potential for abuse of medications. The national Take Back Day in April 2022 collected 360 tons of unused, expired and unwanted medications across the country, bringing the program’s 10-year total to almost 16 million pounds safely and responsibly discarded.
