Members of the Oregon Health & Science University and House Officers Union bargaining on Thursday, Nov. 30, met in person for their 13th bargaining session. OHSU bargaining team shared a variety of proposals and the HOU bargaining team submitted a counterproposal focused on compensation and benefits items.

The OHSU bargaining team’s proposals centered on moonlighting, relocation assistance and employment personnel files:

HOU PROPOSALS

The HOU bargaining team responded to the OHSU bargaining team’s Nov. 16 economic offer with counterproposals to several items within Article 5: Compensation and Benefits, including: Housing stipends, relocation assistance, a flat meal allowance sum for all house officers, reimbursement funds for limited licenses applied in the same amount as unlimited licenses for those who choose, education and professional development funds, parking and transportation and chief resident stipend. HOU reaffirmed their proposals for petty cash, unscheduled shift bonuses, childcare reimbursement and access to March Wellness.

The OHSU and HOU teams will next meet in person on Thursday, Dec. 14.
