OHSU and UnitedHealthcare renew network agreement

Oregon Health & Science University and UnitedHealthcare today jointly announced a new multi-year agreement that will keep OHSU and its clinics, hospitals and health care professionals as in-network providers for UnitedHealthcare members. This agreement includes OHSU Hospital and OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Separately, Adventist Health Portland and Hillsboro Medical Center each reached new agreements with UnitedHealthcare. 

OHSU and UnitedHealthcare worked diligently to reach an agreement while keeping patient care a priority. The agreement helps OHSU patients and UnitedHealthcare members continue accessing care from the doctors and care teams they know and trust. 

“OHSU believes that all Oregonians should have access to the best care possible,” said Tim Goldfarb, M.H.S.A., interim chief executive officer of OHSU Health. “I’d like to thank UnitedHealthcare for their collaboration as we worked toward this agreement which helps the state’s only comprehensive academic health center continue to offer advanced, high-quality care.” 

OHSU and UnitedHealthcare will each send patients a letter to announce that a new agreement has been reached.
