OHSU Foundation welcomes new trustees to its board
The OHSU Foundation appointed four new trustees to its board at the foundation’s June 12 board meeting: Lisa Fajardo Faust, Rodrigo Lopez and Shahrokh Shahidzadeh. Marik Brockman also joins the board as an ex-officio member as well as new co-chair of the Doernbecher Philanthropy Board.
The OHSU Foundation is governed by a volunteer board of trustees who are business and community leaders passionate about helping OHSU and the foundation ignite the power of philanthropy to advance OHSU’s missions of teaching, healing and discovery.
"We are excited to have these exemplary leaders join our boards,” said Kelly Schrader, chair of the OHSU Foundation board. “Each brings unique business acumen, a dedication to giving back and making a difference in our community and a strong interest in the work of OHSU to serve our state and our region with world-class health care.”
New OHSU Foundation trustees
Lisa Fajardo Faust is the executive vice president and chief banking officer at Pacific West Bank. She is a dedicated commercial banker and leader with more than 30 years of commercial banking experience in various senior roles. Faust was honored as a Portland Business Journal 2023 Women of Influence awardee. She is passionate about causes related to children and education and is very engaged as a volunteer leader in the nonprofit community, currently serving as the immediate past chair of Friends of the Children Portland and board treasurer of Clackamas Community College Foundation. She serves in other supporting board roles for the Quest Center for Integrative Health and the Oregon Bankers Association Education Foundation.
Rodrigo Lopez is the regional senior vice president of Comcast’s Pacific Northwest Region. In his role, he oversees 2.7 million residential and business customer relationships in Washington and Oregon. During his 31-year tenure with Comcast, he has lived and worked in various cities and regions, including Seattle, Salt Lake City, Orange County, California, and the East Coast. Lopez is a current board member at the Washington Roundtable and the Oregon Business Council. Previously, Lopez served on the boards of United Way of Columbia Willamette, the Oregon Sports Authority and the Portland Business Alliance.
Shahrokh Shahidzadeh is the CEO and co-founder of Silicon45, a heterogeneous computing company focused on unlocking transformative AI applications. Before founding Si45, Shahidzadeh was the CEO and co-founder of Acceptto, a cybersecurity company that revolutionized Identity Access Management. He led the product vision, development and go-to-market strategy that serves more than 40 million users of Fortune 100 companies. Prior to Acceptto, Shahidzadeh was a senior principal at Intel Corporation, where he spent 25 years in various leadership roles driving development and go-to-market strategies for numerous leading-edge products and initiatives. He holds 40-plus U.S. patents.
New ex-officio member
Stephen “Marik” Brockman has more than 30 years of experience in corporate strategy and management consulting roles focused on technology, new market development and customer experience. He launched boutique consulting firm Bravitas Advisory in 2019 to translate real-world experience into hands-on strategy projects for clients. He joined Dell Technologies as client principal in 2021, where he serves leading enterprises in retail, high-tech, and homeland security through digital transformations. He joined the Doernbecher Philanthropy Board in 2022 and moved into the role of vice chair in 2023. Brockman begins his four-year term as Doernbecher Philanthropy Board co-chair on July 1, 2025.
