As of fall term 2025, the total number of OHSU-registered students, across all Oregon Health & Science University campuses, increased more than 3% compared to last year. This achievement is a 10-year record high, according to data provided by OHSU’s Office of Institutional Research and Effectiveness.
“Growth of more than 100 students compared with fall term 2024 was driven by increases in nursing and public health, as part of OHSU 30-30-30 initiative,” said OHSU Provost and Executive Vice President Marie Chisholm-Burns, Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., MBA, FCCP, FASHP, FAST, FNAP, FACHE. “This exceptional accomplishment demonstrates the incredible effort by many OHSU staff and faculty to educate Oregon's future workforce.”
With this record enrollment, OHSU is progressing toward the 30-30-30 goal of preparing more graduates to serve communities across the state. The 30-30-30 initiative, with funding from the Oregon Legislature, supports OHSU’s goal of graduating more students to increase the number of health professionals providing care in our communities.
Of note, an additional 1,290 students are registered at partner universities and are in joint academic programs with OHSU, through Oregon State University, Portland State University and Oregon Institute of Technology. Total fall 2025 enrollment including these students is 4,337.
“I want to thank each of our partner institutions and all who are participating in these efforts, and I look forward to our continued, collective success,” said Provost Chisholm-Burns.
