Jamie Lo, M.D., co-authors an editorial regarding a retrospective study published in JAMA Internal Medicine that suggests greater risk of preeclampsia, other adverse maternal health outcomes when pregnant people use cannabis. She and her colleague at Texas Southwestern Medical say: " ... the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) recommends not using cannabis during pregnancy, though a growing number of women use cannabis to alleviate pregnancy symptoms."
