Oregon Tech approved to offer doctor of physical therapy program in partnership with OHSU

OHSU partners with Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls to offer a Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, training the next generation of physical therapists who will be uniquely prepared to practice in all settings, particularly rural and underserved communities that often face a shortage of specialized health care professionals.

Timed with World Retinoblastoma Week, KATU-TV profiles Jackson, a 21-month-old patient at OHSU’s Casey Eye Institute and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. He was diagnosed with retinoblastoma at 9 months old. Sue Lindemulder, M.D., says: "Retinoblastoma is very rare, so most families or parents have never heard of this. So having them be aware of the signs to look for and making sure to advocate for their kids with the pediatricians... is really important."
