Jonah Sacha, Ph.D., is leading a new study evaluating the experimental monoclonal antibody leronlimab as a potential one-time treatment to be delivered via gene therapy that could provide a functional cure for HIV. Sacha says: “Currently, patients often take multiple antiretroviral pills daily. Removing this pill burden could not only improve patients’ quality of life, but remove problems with adherence."

OHSU doctor provides training in Ukraine

KATU-TV profiles Stephen Donnelly, M.D., who traveled to Ukraine with paramedics and EMTs and helped teach life-saving skills to 500 volunteers. Donnelly says: "These people four months ago, they weren’t anticipating this at all. They were working their usual jobs. We worked with interpreters, teachers, professors, other physicians, nurses, other paramedics, factory workers, farmers. They weren’t expecting to do this."
