In response to a claim that OHSU's 30-30-30 plan to address the state’s urgent health care workforce crisis by increasing the size and diversity of OHSU’s health professional education programs is unconstitutional, OHSU shared a statement that reads, in part: “OHSU 30-30-30 does not violate the Fourteenth Amendment. OHSU will continue to engage in an individualized, holistic review of all applicants’ merit while prioritizing the addition of high-quality clinicians from diverse backgrounds to the state’s hospitals and clinics over the next decade, and the prioritizing educational benefits of a more diverse student body for all OHSU students."
