OHSU receives more than $3 million to study impacts of novel substance abuse treatment program for pregnant individuals. Lead researcher Deb Cohen, Ph.D., says: “Through our analysis, we hope to identify and establish evidence that will allow the replication of the Nurture Oregon model in other states across the U.S., once again showcasing Oregon as a leader in innovative health care delivery."

Kate Brown and the Oregon Health Authority to warn the public of a likely large surge of COVID-19 cases due to the omicron variant. Edwards says: "It’s not too late to protect yourself and those you care about from becoming gravely ill and even dying from COVID-19." Graven publishes an updated forecast Dec. 17 and says: "Oregon probably has a little time, but each day is counting now. The cases are here, and it means that certainly in January we’re going to be dealing with this big time.”
