The Boston Globe features retired OHSU neurologist Daniel Gibbs, M.D., in a story about a new FDA-approved drug for Alzheimer’s disease. Gibbs, who has Alzheimer’s and experienced severe side effects while participating in a clinical trial for the drug in 2017, says: “I would argue that in the first year or so, administration of the drug should be limited to [providers] with experience with the drug, not just any guy with a shingle.”
