New OHSU research provides critical insight for the development of a vaccine that can more effectively block the spread of herpesvirus transmission to babies before they are born, which can result in lifelong health complications. Ultimately, we hope our research leads to an effective vaccine that can be made widely available.”

By examining spatial clustering of pediatric firearm injuries using national emergency medical services data, an OHSU study finds that most incidents occur within the same zip code as the child's home.
